Winter Wonderland runs 19 November to 3 January, closed Christmas Day. Entry is £1 on November weekdays and £8.25 at peak, and the four gates are not equal.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland runs from Thursday 19 November 2026 to Saturday 3 January 2027, every day apart from Christmas Day. The organiser states it plainly on its home page: “we’re opening everyday from 19 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, apart from Christmas Day.”

Entry is ticketed and pre-booked, and it is the cheapest thing about the day out. The rides are not.

Entry prices, and the £1 window

Booking fees are inside those prices. The organiser says it has “booking fees inclusive of our ticket prices, so what you see is what you get. No additional costs at checkout.” That is not the norm for London events of this size and it is worth taking at face value.

There is also a spend-and-get-in-free route, but the threshold is quoted inconsistently across the site. The tickets guide and the attractions page both put it at £25 spent in one transaction on rides, attractions, packages, passes or food and drink deals. The packages and passes page says Ride and Game Credit purchases of £30 or more unlock free entry. If you are buying to hit the threshold rather than because you wanted the credit, budget for £30 and treat £25 as the optimistic figure.

Opening hours change constantly

Every date closes at 10pm. Opening times move around, so check before you travel:

  • Opens 12pm: 19 and 20 November, 23 to 26 November, 2 December
  • Opens 2pm: 1 December
  • Opens 11am: 27 November, 3 and 4 December, 7 to 11 December, 14 to 18 December, 28 December to 1 January
  • Opens 10am: every other date
  • Closed: Christmas Day

Entry tickets are sold in one hour arrival slots from 10am to 8pm. Once you are in, you can stay until the site closes, so a cheap early slot does not force you out at teatime.

Ride passes and packages

Entry buys you the site, not the rides. These are the 2026 passes and their prices:

Bundled packages start at £40.20 for the Show Town Spectacular, which pairs the circus and the Giant Wheel with £20 of ride credit, and run to £48.10 for Festive Favourites. The Arctic Adventure package, which is the one that includes ice skating and the Magical Ice Kingdom, is from £44.50 for an adult. A Santa Land package for a child is from £36.50 and includes a meal deal.

Ride and Game Credit comes in £20, £30 and £50 denominations and saves up to 10 per cent against paying per ride.

New for 2026

The Coaster Pass and Explorer Pass are both new this year, as is the Ride and Game Credit system. The headline new attraction is Gandeys K-Pop Dragon Circus. The Magical Ice Kingdom uses more than 500 tonnes of sculpted ice and tells the Peter Pan and Tinkerbell story this year. Bar Ice has been rebuilt as a basecamp bar held at minus ten degrees.

The site carries more than 150 attractions, rides and shows in total.

Pick your gate before you leave the house

This is the practical decision that most first-time visitors get wrong. There are four gates around the site and they open onto different parts of it. Walking the length of Winter Wonderland at 6pm on a Saturday in December takes a long time.

The organiser’s own walking times are Paddington about 12 minutes, Bond Street about 14, Green Park about 17 and Victoria about 19, all with step-free access at the station. The postcode for the site is W1K 7AN.

Driving, parking and cabs

Do not drive to it if there is any alternative. There is no event car park. The organiser points people at the Q-Park sites near the Park Lane and Marble Arch entrances and says to avoid residential streets, which in this part of Westminster is sound advice for a different reason: almost all of the kerbside near the park is resident-permit bay rather than pay-to-park.

Hyde Park sits in zone F, along with Marylebone and Fitzrovia, and paid bays and single yellow lines are controlled 8.30am to 6.30pm across every Westminster zone. It is the resident bays that catch people out in the evening, because a plate naming the zone will not tell you the sub-zone.

Other arrangements the organiser publishes:

  • Blue Badge accessible parking is available, arranged by phone on 020 8233 5400.
  • Black cab ranks on Park Lane, Hamilton Place, Piccadilly, Dover Street, Berkeley Street and Oxford Street.
  • Coaches use designated set-down and pick-up zones on Park Lane, with a 20 minute maximum on most spaces.
  • Santander Cycle docking stations sit around the park, but there is no dockless e-bike parking inside Hyde Park, so leaving a hire bike in the park will cost you.
